West Country cruise
Early in the season, I made plans with Jon, one of my regular crew, to head to Devon and Cornwall in September. We had hoped to reach the Scilly Isles, but after battling headwinds and spring tides for 3 days to get to Fowey, coupled with a very stormy forecast for the week set aside for the return passage, we moderated our plans and limited ourselves to some cruising between Fowey and Weymouth.
